MFPA - Artists

Kate's artistic career began in 1985 when she started
mouth painting designs on T shirts, wind cheaters and
calico cushions for school fetes and exhibitions, while
completing a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences.

She found these tasks challenging after a car accident left
her a quadriplegic in 1976.

It was at an exhibition in Melbourne that full AMFPA
member, Bill Mooney saw Kate's work and encouraged her
to approach AMFPA. She was accepted as a student
member in 1993. Kate lives in a small town north of
Bendigo.
