MFPA - Artists

Meg was born in 1954 with congenital hypothyroidism, a
debilitating disease which gradually destroys the nerves and
muscles. As her health deteriorated over the years, she
found enjoyment in drawing and painting.

Meg's first works were done with her hand and when she
had to start writing messages by holding a a pen with her
mouth, a doctor suggested that she try mouth painting. To
her surprise, Meg found her attempts not too bad and her
new hobby, a very relaxing pastime. She became a MFPA
student member in 1993.

Meg paints in acrylic and watercolours, and enjoys
depicting seascapes, landscapes and still-life. She finds her
strength in Christianity and lives with her husband in the
western suburbs of Melbourne.
