Card No. 2607 | Safe Anchorage | David L. Cawthorne

$4.00 AUD

Quiet boats at their moorings, still turquoise water, green headlands folding into the distance — Safe Anchorage is calm and restorative, the kind of view you could sit with for hours. Painted in oils by MFPA artist David L. Cawthorne, this peaceful harbour scene suits a birthday, a retirement, a Father's Day message, a with-sympathy or thinking-of-you note, or a card for anyone who loves the sea and sailing.

David L. Cawthorne worked as a miner and played rugby league before a spinal injury during a match in 1981 left him almost completely paralysed. He discovered mouth painting through his therapy, and with the encouragement of family and friends went on to earn a scholarship and become an associate member of the artists' association — painting, above all, the landscapes of his home region. This card carries one of his oil paintings.

Blank inside for your own words. Every card is printed from an original work by a mouth or foot painting artist, and your purchase directly supports their creativity and independent livelihood. Self-help, not charity.
