Card No. 2601 | Peace and Tranquility | Kyung Sik Lim
Still water, a moored boat, and banks of rhododendrons in full bloom — Peace and Tranquility invites you to pause and breathe. Painted in oils by MFPA artist Kyung Sik Lim, this restful garden scene carries a quiet, Impressionist softness, with a misty arched bridge nestled into the trees beyond. It's a heartfelt choice for sympathy and with-sympathy messages, get-well and thinking-of-you wishes, or simply sending someone a moment of calm.
Kyung Sik Lim was born in Bucheon, South Korea, in 1977. A motorbike accident at nineteen left him without the use of his arms or legs, and some years later he taught himself to paint by mouth — at first from video clips, then through formal lessons at a fine-arts college. Landscapes in oil became his passion, and his work has since featured in exhibitions both solo and shared. This card carries one of those paintings.
