Card No. 2626 | Santa's Best Friend | Luis Eiber Jiménez Bolaños

Every sleigh needs a sidekick. Santa's Best Friend is a fluffy, long-haired pup in a red Santa hat, tongue out and eyes bright, sitting pretty against a soft glow of festive lights. The detail is remarkable: every strand of that shaggy coat has been painted with care.

An instant favourite for dog lovers, families and anyone whose four-legged friend is part of the Christmas celebrations. Blank inside for your own message, with envelope included. $2.55 each, with bulk discounts available and the option to have your cards personalised.

Born in El Tambo, Cauca, in 1985, Luis Eiber Jiménez Bolaños has been tetraplegic since the age of six, following an accidental shooting while out with family. In 1998, to pass the time, he began picking things up with his mouth, and soon took hold of a pencil to scribble in a notebook.

Through constant practice he first taught himself to write with his mouth, then worked out his own drawing and painting techniques. Luis Eiber favours landscapes and animals, painted on materials of all kinds, and the fine detail of Santa's Best Friend shows just how far that practice has taken him.

Every card is reproduced from an original painting by a mouth or foot painting artist. Your purchase supports their creative work and independent livelihood. Self-help, not charity.
